With the cold coming our way I decided to spend friday morning indoors painting christmas pottery presents for family. Yes, I know this seems slightly early but...I tend to leave a majority of things last minute. Emma Bridgewater has a beautiful little pottery cafe next to her shop in Fulham. The assistants are so friendly, helpful with big beaming smiles, this I believe will always make a difference. A lot of yummy mummy's arrive with a field of children, desperate to paint their feet (of all things). Im not trying to be funny, but its something I have yet to understand why would anyone really want to eat of a plate with feet printed all over? I was lucky enough to witness a 1st birthday (the mummy gave me some victoria sponge) :). There is also a lovely cafe which serves yummy coffee's or herbal tea's.
The variety of bowls, cups, mugs, butter dishes, plates etc is enormous! Really it spent me a good 10 minutes to plan my piece. Sadly I don't have a picture yet as I collect on Friday, but I promise to post when it arrives!
I really give flying colors to this.
