Coco Loving Care

Friends are one of those things in life you could never replace with something else, particularly your best girlfriends. I've been so lucky to meet such incredible women one of whom is the fabulous Coco, an avid fashionistas dream.


Coco always seems to mark the tick list on my invisible screening check: individuality, diversity, comfort and something out of the ordinary. She also has what I love RESPECT for clothes not just for the way they look but how they are made, where they have come from and interest in the designers skill behind the scenes. Coc's currently works for booming fashion designer Daniella Helayel and her team at Issa.


I recently asked Coco to fill out a questionnaire for me from my favorite book of the moment 'The fashion Questioner by Assouline'. Yum :)

Symbol of high fashion?

I wish I could have lived in the Bowie years with Andy Warhol and Edie, been a real punk with my pink hair. All leather, safety pins, skulls, glam-rock, biker, studs, jumpsuits. But hey that was definitely NOT high fashion. I think for me the ultimate symbol of high fashion is a girl who has her own distinct look, knows what she wants and wears the clothes her way (not let them wear her). Or it's Issy Blow.

Leather, chiffon and lace
Favourite colour?
Red, but always love black
The collection you will never forget?
Alexander McQueen show in the East London cathedral (can't remember the season!) or pretty much every Chanel show under Karl Lagerfeld
The style you most dislike?
Trying too hard
Favourite fashion photographer?
Nick Knight (but the Kate Moss by Mario Testino book is my bible!)
Favourite model?
Kate Kate Kate, Freja Beha, Lily Donaldson, Abbey Lee Kershaw or Elle (because she's the body!)
Shoe / shoe designer fetish?
My Manolo Mary-Janes from Kristina Blahnik :)
Jewel / jewelry designer fetish?
Hmmmm....never been much of a jewelry girl to be honest, but adore my little skull ring at the moment.
Favourite fashion accessory?
A great hat
