You can never go wrong with Flowers

I for one adore flowers and I truly believe that not many people in this world don't appreciate what they offer: smell, a sense of satisfaction, appreciation of nature, beauty and to know that someone loves you (if you buy them for yourself it means that you love yourself).

Valentines day has passed and receiving or sending flowers to those you love is an act of such happiness and appreciation. I was lucky enough to receive a stunning bunch of white and pink roses from somebody I care about very much. He got the color co ordination perfect...Im a bit of a fuss pot when it comes to red roses, they seem to symbolize something slightly cringe worthy (this is just for me personally). But sitting on the bus on my way home from art school I noticed a young guy holding one perfect red rose, it slightly made my heart melt.

Light pink or light blue peonies are my favorite closely followed by hydrangea's and white roses, roses from the person who loves you. I have a dear friend called Frankie who loves flowers. You wouldn't exactly expect it on first encounters, he is a sort of rock dude who has long dark hair a french swerve appearance and sports the funkiest pair of D and G tracksuit bottoms I have ever seen in my life. Inside he is the most sensitive appreciative soul I have ever seen and I adore him for it. He LOVES flowers, everything about them and this simple gratitude makes them appeal to me all the more.

There are SO many great flower shops in London. Wild at Heart does beautiful little bouquet's there flagship store is in Westbourne Grove, just opposite my future residence (please God) above Ralph Lauren. Only Roses opposite Harrods selects some of the UK's top rose finds, Marks and Spencer's also have a great little selection for great prices as does post a rose.com if you are wanting to do it all online.

If any of you readers are feeling gratitude today, send some flowers to someone in your life who is making it just that little bit better. A great friend, a girlfriend, a sibling, or who ever. I know for fact that it will be so truly blessed.
