I have been working on my new sketch book for a few weeks now. I always hate the beginning pages... exploring new ideas and every time I never feel as if my work is moving anywhere.
This scenario...its a little different after visiting the met last week I was really inspired by Vincent Van Gogh's The Starry night. I invested in some nib pens and began playing around with his brush stroke techniques using very thick black ink. I got a range of nibs so the mark makings would differ...I love my teeny tiny ones. The scratch marks can work so well.
I hope to share some more ink work with you in the future.
