Last weekend I visited a friend called Alexis in St Tropez, it was his families home and I always like bringing a little gift especially if I spend the night. Le Lirodou's vegetable garden is currently over flowing with aubergines, tomatoes, melon, radishes, zucchini, cucumber... all my personal favourites.
I thought of an alternative to my usual smelly candle or body cream to create a box of home grown vegetables and olive oil from our olive grove and lavender honey from our bee's. I love creating, so the idea really got a little over the top with what selection the box should be and how everything was to be arranged.
Alexis' mother made some delicious canapés that evening for us all before dinner, my personal favourite was the aubergine with melted mozzarella.
