The Help

I have just returned from doing the out of ordinary from my books. A trip to the cinema alone. The Help is what I spent my last hours captivated by. I was drawn by the likes of Emma Stone, who caught my eye with Ryan Gosling in the slightly less impressive comedy crazy, stupid, love. The Help tells the tale of a young girl striving to be an author during the civil right's movement in the 1960's. She writes on behalf of African American maids working for white families. I spent the final hour in tears. It moved me, made me laugh, smile and really think how lucky we are.

Emma Stone is one of my favourite women of the day. Her character 'Skeeter' really inspired me / moved me to think about courage and the importance of standing up for one's self. She is a beautiful woman on and off camera.
