A day in Paris

Paris, the city of love. My 6.45 am wake up call was little less than appreciated but once at St Pancreas I could feel the rush of cold air. It shook my body and I woke to the possibilities of what was at hand for the day. I love the Euro Star, traveling by train feels so poetic, romantic. After some coffee and croissants I settled into French VOGUE. Arriving just in time for Lunch at Café Marley opposite the Louvre…delicious. Slightly rushed though as my appointment at MAC for make up was at 2pm. After a ‘natural’ touch, I proceeded to Rue Montmartre, here I met the gorgeous designer Maxime Simoens. At only 27 he is fast making his name in the fashion industry taking up a role as designer for Leonard. Sweet and sensitive, I felt comfortable in his gowns and fell in love with one in particular.

After a dress fitting for an hour and photographs…I felt a little depleted. Tea and macaroons followed at a traditional Parisian café on the Champs des Lysses.

The day took a final turn at the flagship Chanel and after a very glitzy pair of Jimmy Choo’s later…. I dashed for the Late Euro star home. Sadly though I missed Downton Abby.
