Returning home

I've just spent ten days on the amazing tropical island of Mustique. A place I feel so at home, comforted and in peace. I leave tomorrow afternoon and have been reminiscing on the beauty of my camera. Photographs are something to laugh about the morning after, remember childhood and critic fashion. A memorable scene from Clueless is Cher's monumental idea to Polaroid dresses in order for the not quite so romantic date with Christian. I admit to have taken for this idea on numerous important occasions

Mustique is a tiny island located in the grenadines, close by to St Vincent and St Lucia. It's a lot more understated than I think people make out rarely do I ever even really wear shoes. Head scarves, chunky sunglasses, jumpsuits are my kind of thing. My friend Philippa (studying fashion at Marangoni a top fashion school on Brick Lane) enjoyed sunshine with me. Philippa is a fan of Missoni...LOTS of Missoni. Im desperate for an entire outfit on net-a-porter.com. My birthday is coming up so it could be on the wish list? I've come to the realisation that choosing an entire outfit rather than one single piece at a time could be more sufficient rather than spending individually. If you splurge on a pair of leather trousers, how do you know that you have correct top to match? You may think you do but returning home and trying what you imagined in your head actually looks entirely wrong!

The heat here can be a killer so loose clothing for me is a must. I never really were tight clothes anyway, I find it too uncomfortable. Admittedly some of my best friends look gorgeous in Herve Legere but for me...I wouldn't pull it off. I'm an Isabel Marant, Stella McCarteny, Margherita Missoni kinna gal.
